Wednesday June 24, 2009
Start: 11:00 am
End: 12:00 pm

All are invited to a Wednesday morning rally to support Toronto's indoor
and outdoor workers, who went on strike on June 22 after the City's
latest offer asked them for numerous concessions. In the words of
President Mark Ferguson, “They are trying to gut our collective
agreement and are using the recession as an excuse.”

The rally takes place on Wednesday at City Hall, at 11 AM. The forecast
is for sun with a high of 28, so both sunscreen and water in reusable
bottles are strongly recommended.
