Facilitation 101:
how to facilitate/chair meetings

Thursday, March 20th
6:00 pm
At OPIRG and the Centre for Women and Trans People
563 Spadina Ave, 1st Floor
University of Toronto
*Space is Wheelchair Accessible

A major part of movement building is lots and lots of MEETINGS. Meetings can be inspiring, sometimes hellish, or sometimes somewhere in between - but most certainly what can help a meeting be FRUITFUL is GOOD FACILITATION. Being a meeting facilitator is NOT running the show and it is MORE than keeping track of the next people who want to speak. So what is it?

Come learn and share strategies on how to maintain
good communication, equity, active listening and
effective decision making for meetings of all shapes
and sizes....

Part of the OPIRG - Toronto Tools 4 Change skills sharing and skills building series. For the full schedule of workshops, visit: www.opirguoft.org

Info Demo Thurs. March 20th, 11am-2pm, Gore Park (Main and James), Hamilton

Dear friends,

Please join us, Hamilton Solidarity with Six Nations, on Thursday March 20th from 11am-2pm in Gore park (downtown Hamilton at King and James). We will be holding an information demonstration to hand out information to the public regarding the Six Nations land reclamation and negotiations. We are continuing to demand there be a moratorium on all development on lands in Canada under dispute and that all levels of government negotiate in good faith based on respect.

We will be inviting the media to come at 12:30pm when we hope to deliver a 1000-signature petition to a local MP which demands the federal government halt all development on lands in dispute.

Please join us and/or stop by!

Warmest regards,
Hamilton Solidarity with Six Nations
