A controversial agreement between Magna International Inc. and the Canadian Auto Workers that eliminates the right to strike is a "betrayal" of labour principles and a blatant "dues grab," say some past and current leaders of the union.

It doesn't get more

It doesn't get more depressing than this. I don't know how the labour movement goes in Ireland but this is why some of us think the labour movement here is facing an existential threat unless some kind of rank-and-file revolt emerges. Maybe this will spark something.
